Granholm won! Wohoo! The first woman govenor of Michigan, and the first non-Republican in over a decade. 'Course, now she has that billion dollar deficit that the previous administration left for her...

On the downside, Hoekstra is still in office... gaoddamnit. And how the hell did Jeb Bush win Florida? Everything I had heard indicated that the people down there have very low opinions of him. (Unless he rigged the results like he did for his big brother.)

So now the Republicans are in charge of both the Senate and the House. While I'd normally state that the person and his/her beliefs matter more than his/her party, I so deeply loath Dubya at this point that any opposition to him is a Good Thing in my mind.

(Then again, given the way that the Democrats have been letting him get away with shit left and right, I guess it doesn't really make much of a difference. Let's hope they - or someone... anyone! - get their act together by the next Presidential election.)

My mom tried to point out that, with the Republcicans in the majority, at least they can't blame the Democrats for everything that goes wrong. They will anyway. I hear people blaming the current recession on Clinton on a fairly regular basis. Yeesh... -_-;;;;
