Dear gods, I know that I was warned that we would be busy around the holidays, but things have been ridiculous! And it's not just the patients. It never fails to amaze me how some of the nurses and doctors can have that much education and are still total morons!
I'll be very happy when I can go back to a mere 40 hours a week. Yes, the overtime pay is nice, but right now what I really want is a good night's sleep. I'm behind on so many things that I need to do. *sigh*
Since I don't want this entire post to be me whining about being tired, here's some artwork:
Also on the plus side, the solstice has passed. So every day is going to be a little bit longer. (And a little bit warmer, although that's not as big a deal to me anymore. ^_-)
I finally got around to scanning in some more images from my sketchbook. As always, click on the thumbnails for larger views and notes.
I meant to upload some photos I've taken around San Diego, but (surprise, surprise) I've mislaid them. I should find them once I finish straightening things up around here.
I uploaded several more pages from my sketchbook into this gallery. I know, I usually post thumbnails, but it's a pain in the ass, and I just don't feel up to it tonight. To make up for it, there are ten new images instead of the usual two.
And until I can either get my dad's old scanner (which he let me have when I moved) to work or buy a new one, there won't be any new images to post. Ditto for fanart.
Just a couple more sketchbook images. The second one is one of my favorites. (It's also the one that required the most digital touch-ups post scanning.) I'd like to do a larger, more polished version of it some day.
Inspiration comes and goes unexpectedly, so my sketchbook is small enough to fit in my purse. A lot of the images were done quickly to get down the gist of an idea while it was clear in my head. They're more polished than doodles, but none of them are what I would consider finished pieces.
I'm still in the earlier sketches - the ones you see here and in my previous post were done a couple of years ago. Each successive set of images is more and more recent.
Packing has commenced. I've always known that I was a packrat, but I never realized quite how bad my hoarding compulsion was. *sigh* It's a good thing that I still have a month or two before I move; I'm going to need it.
In other news, I've scanned a bunch of pages from my sketchbook. I'm going to be posting a couple at a time. Since, y'know, it's not like I have anything to actually write about lately...
