I'm sure that you'll never guess what movie I got to see this morning. I made sure to re-read the book and watch the first movie the night before so that the subject matter would be fresh in my mind.

Positive Items:
- Draco getting bitten by the mandrake
- Draco taking a nose-dive during the first Quiddich match
- Draco getting blasted by Harry during the dueling scene
- Lucius Malfoy (With a ribbon in his hair!)
- Moaning Myrtle, especially her voice
- Sets, costumes and special effects
- The basilisk
- Percy's bedhead
- Ginny's first scene
- The flying car
- The Whomping Willow
- Gilderoy Lockhart
- Rupert Grint kicks ass as Ron
- The slugs
- The kids have really relaxed into their roles
- Snape (without his robes!) and Lockhart dueling
- Errol going splat into the window
- ...and the dinner table
- The Weasly House

Negative Items:
- They left out the scene in Knockturn Alley where Harry saw Draco and Lucius in a Dark Arts shop
- Harry as a possible Heir of Slytherin was underplayed
- Oliver wasn't nearly enthusiastic enough about Quiddich
- No mention of Filtch being a Squib
- Hermione knew what Mudblood meant and explained it to Harry instead of Ron
- Not nearly enough of Ginny
- The Valentine's Day part didn't get put in
- Didn't get into Hermione's crush on Lockhart
- Ending was a bit cheesy
- We have to wait until '04 to see Prisoner of Azkaban

And to show what a pathetic Lupin-fan I am, I kept trying to find the secret entrance amid the Whomping Willow's roots. I also kept looking at the Defense Against the Dark Arts room and picturing Lupin teaching instead of Lockhart.

Gods, I can be such a fangirl at times...
