I hate morons.

Vacation enties are again being put on the back burner, as are my opinions on Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix. Why? Well, I read this article in a local newspaper today and got rather riled up.

So of course I've got to rip it apart.

It may help if you are familiar with the author, a rather conservative man by the name of Cal Thomas. I've never been able to stand his articles, and he is simply one more reason why I call myself a Liberal.

I'm still in a bit of a bad mood, so this entry isn't as mature as I'd like it to be. I'm getting sick of these idiots and their faulty logic, though. It's hard to stay reasonable and logical when the other side refuses to do so.

While I'm on this subject, I'd also like to pass along this link. The idea is to name a sex act (preferably an unpleasant one) after senator Rick Santorum in response to his horribly bigoted statements on homosexuals.

Having gotten that out of my system, I am off to bed. Perhaps tomorrow (er... later today) I'll get my vacation notes posted, followed by my latest HP ramblings. I'll try to refrain from repeated gushings of "Lupin came back!"

Vacation Ramblings

Y'know that rant I wrote earlier this morning? Well, go read this instead. Once again, Molly Ivans is able to put my thoughts into words better than I am.

Now, for the promised story of my trip to California, complete with the two car accidents and a brush with Death.

All in all, it was an interesting trip... both the journey and the destination. I actually like driving. I tend to forget how big this country is, and car trips give me a chance to remember the scope of things.

I've made it back safe and sound, though, with a few more stories to tell and some memories to add to the collection. They say what doesn't kill us makes us stronger. At the rate I'm going, I'll be as tough as a diamond in a few years.

Now, do you think that someone was out to get me, looking after me, or both?
