Sadly, that idea isn't too far of a leap for some people. I seem to recall Tom Cruise (I think it was him) claiming that he didn't believe in mental disorders like obsessive-compulsive disorder, tourette's, clinical depression, etcetera. Good thing he's not my pharmacist; I can live without the birth-control pills, but I will get incredibly sick (not to mention twitchy) if someone takes away my OCD medication. (And I'll drive everyone around me to insanity with my tics and rituals.)
My second thought was, what's next, checkout clerks refusing to ring me up when I want to buy condoms? Or steak? "Sorry, I don't believe in eating meat, you'll have to put that back before you can check out."
Good question. Why are clerks required to sell things that are against their morals, but pharmacists are not?
