Luckily, my sister won't need surjury after all. The doctor put her on some strong antibiotics the night she went into the ER, and she had a follow-up ultrasound today. (Apparently, some of the staff wanted to send her into surjury the night she went in, but the doctor held off to give the medication a chance first.) Everything has cleared up, although she's still pretty sore.

Given the rapid disappearance, (There was nothing left, apparently.) it may have actually been a burst cist, and what they originally thought was an infection was really just a blood clot. While still very painful to go through, it's not nearly as serious as an infection.

Well, that's certainly a relief. Now I just have to make it through one more week of classes before exams. Then I'll have a blessed respite from the stress. (At least until next semester starts...)

Umm... thanks. Although I really don't consider my journal very cool, but to each their own.
