Warner Bros has finally confirmed another new cast member. (The first one was Pam Ferris - the evil principal in the Matilda movie - as Aunt Marge.) The role of Remus Lupin, everyone's favourite werewolf, has been assigned to David Thewlis.
There's still no word on Sirius Black, although there are a lot of rumours that Gary Oldman is being considered. (I noticed that his IMDb bio already lists him as having the role, but I have yet to see any official announcements.) No news on who is going to replace Richard Harris as Dumbledor, either.
Not quite what my mental image of Remus looks like, but not that far off. What do you think?
I think David Wots-his-name looks absolutely perfect for Remus. My only concern now is that Alan Rickman is going to look even more ancient alongside him.
Well, in some of the other pictures (http://www.geocities.com/SoHo/9633/pictures.html) I've seen of him, he looks closer to Alan Rickman's age. (Like the one of him from Dinotopia.) Besides, a bit of make-up can do wonders. I'm sure it'll work out ^^
