I don't have too many comments on Dubya's State of the Union Address. This is because I started swearing at the television screen after he mispronounced 'nuclear' for the third time and did not catch much after that. However, this and this and this sum up my feelings quite well. (Yes, I'm still too tired to do any actual work on writing out my own opinions.)

Speaking of Dubya, you'll never guess who was in town yesterday. And guess who was right in the middle of all the anti-war protestors?

A few Bush supporters actually showed up, but they got overwhelmed by the rest of us. It was rather heartening to see how many people in this area are against Bush and/or his war. If the event hadn't have been the middle of the day on a Tuesday, we probably would have seen more people out there. I got a flyer for a big anti-war rally in Lansing on February 15, which I plan on attending. (My sister will be going with me as well. She wanted to go on Tuesday, but had a class at that time that she couldn't skip.)

Apparently, similar rallies are being schedualed all around the world on the 15th, so anyone who is interested should look around for more info. (I only have stuff on the Michigan events, so I'm afraid I don't have any other links. Sorry.)

Good job you're doing. I'll have a look at rallies near me.
