Yet Another Anime Obsession

Damnit... I'm supposed to be saving my money, not spending it on DVDs. (Although I'm sure certain corporations would disagree with me on this point.) While finding a new obsession is always a fun way of avoiding Real Life, my bank account is still lower than I'd like it to be.

erythros, this is all your fault for mentioning Hellsing so much.

Alright, so I was the one who decided to spend my extra cash on some anime. And I was the one who went to the mall with that intention. And I was the one who picked up the DVD and read the summary on the back, figured why not? and payed for the first two volumes.

Still, this is obviously your fault...

I'll leave the fangirl ramblings for another day. I will just mention that Alucard is my favourite character, and, yes, I did notice what you get when you spell his name backwards. Integra follows in a close second place, and Walter kicks ass. However, since I have only seen up through episode six, (Damn Pioneer for only putting three episodes on each disk.) I cannot comment on Maxwell as of yet ^^

Squeee! Squeee! Squeee! Isn't Alucard awesome? Isn't Integra hot beyond words? (She is the first female character I've had a crush on... ... ever, actually. How odd.) Isn't Walter the epitome of cool?

... And isn't the English dub amazingly good?

Caveat: you will probably not like Enrico Maxwell. I freely admit that he is a horrible, horrible person, ESPECIALLY in the anime; in the manga, he's more of an irritatingly competent bastard, and less of a total dickweed. I think the only reason I like him is because of the YELLOW ROSES and because ... well, I have a yen for the creepy trolls. XD

But MRAI! *hophop* Oh, yay, I'm so glad you got to see it! Because you are cool, and Hellsing is cool, and therefore the two of you needed to be acquainted.

Well, being a nice guy isn't one of my requirements for liking an anime character... Hell, Zoisite is still one of my all time favourites, and that boy is a sneaky, whiny son-of-a-bitch ^^ I think Shiori (Utena) and Mimete (BSSM S) are the only two characters I actually hate...

Besides, unless I am mistaken, Maxwell has green eyes. And the cool characters all have green eyes... Zoisite, Sailor Jupiter, Faye Valentine, Juri, Fuu, Hitomi, Kurama...

You can blame Erythros and her Hellsing mentions for this, too. Dammit, she inspired me to stay up until ridiculous hours reading character profiles and episode summaries.

Well, I don't know if it's worth trekking all the way out here just for six episodes ^^ If I manage to get the rest of the series in the near future, I'll be more than willing to make you tapes of it, though.
