Well, I broke down. I made some good tip money and decided to spend it on the last two volumes of Hellsing. I suppose I should be grateful that it wasn't a ten volume series... I certainly couldn't afford that at the moment. However, 13 episodes just wasn't enought.

On the plus side, while perusing websites, I discovered that the manga is not finished yet. In other words, there may be a second season somewhere down the line. Oh, I do hope so...

Besides, there were some loose ends that I'd love to see the results of... Seras coming to terms with her new vampiric nature. The origins of those 'freak chips' and the artificial vampires. Integra's decision concerning Alucard's offer.

Nor would I object to seeing some of the semi-minor characters like Alexander Anderson. (Ah, those wacky Catholics...)

My favourite character is still Alucard. In fact, I think I adore him even more after seeing all the episodes. And for some odd reason, I'm really attracted to the idea of him and Seras as a couple.

(Ne, erythros, if you write me a Alucard/Seras 'fic, I'll draw you some Maxwell/Integra art ^_-)

And Integra... *drools* Man, I'm jealous of "Laura" in episode nine.

I can't say that I have much of an opinion of Maxwell right now, though. He was only in one episode, after all. I do love his (dub) voice. Also, he does have those pretty green eyes... and I can be such a sucker for green-eyed characters.

(The fact that I also have green eyes has nothing to do with this. Really.)

I also adore that first scene with him and Integra... especially when she goes into ultra-bitch mode. (She's so sexy when she's like that.) And the expression on Maxwell's face when she doesn't shake his hand... ^____^

The dub is absolutely yummy. (Crispin Freeman does Alucard's voice! *squeal*) Pioneer has really been doing a great job with their dubs. Just look at (and listen to) Cowboy Bebop, Serial Experiments Lain, and Trigun.

On a final thought, if Alucard is actually Dracula, (Gee, who would have guessed? I love the Vlad the Impailer reference that they stuck in at the end.) does that mean that he is D's father?

Lastly, I suppose I actually have a right to post this since I've seen the entire series...

Now if I can just get this goddamned Morpheus program to actually work so I can get some of the music...
