For those who don't know, here's the deal: I am going to answer a series of questions from [livejournal.com profile] erythros. If you want me to give you some questions, reply to this entry. Then post your questions (and answers) in your journal, thus passing along the fun. Got it?

1) Quick. Pick any weener from any period of history or fictional series or current world sichiation. You may totally kick his ass, no holds barred, death is not an option but there will be humiliations galore, with no consequences to you. Who is it, and why?

Ha... That's an easy one: George W. Bush! C'mon, don't tell me you're surprised at that?

(That man is enough to make me want to swear off pacifism just so I can slug him in the teeth.)

2) Which country has the coolest-looking flag, and would you mind hanging it on your wall if someone gave you a silk one?

Hmmm... I'd have to go with Tibet. It has nice colours, design and symbolism. Plus, the Dalai Lama is one of my heroes. (Although Wales and Bhutan [sp?] both have dragons on their flags, and I do have a thing for dragons.)

And I would certainly hang the aforementioned flag on my wall. (I'd have to find a place to put it first, since about 90% of my walls and ceiling are covered in posters, pictures, banners and so forth.)

3) Who is your favorite painter, and if someone offered you any painting of his/hers, which one would you take?

My first reaction was to yell out "Frida Kahlo, hell yeah, baby!" However, I then remembered just how fond I am of da Vinci and Klimt and Michael Whelan. (I could keep going...) Methinks I'll stick with Kahlo-sama, however, since there's something about that woman and her work that just resonates with me.

"Self Portrait with Thorn Necklace and Hummingbird" would most likely be my painting of choice. (I adore so many of her pieces, though, that I could easily change my mind.)

4) Congratulations. You now have all the candy in the world, AND the only way of making more. What will you do with it?

Sell it on eBay.

5) Douglas Adams or Terry Pratchett: who would kick whose ass in a "Funniest Satirist Evar" finalist match?

...

...

...Damn it, both of them make me laugh. Hmmm... Adams has senority, and "The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Universe" is a classic. I think I'll have to go with him. (Although it was damn close.)

I've never been good at asking people questions, though, so just be warned that they may very well be utterly idiotic.

I don't care if they're idiotic or not. :)

1) What do you think is a more nobel pursuit: true love or enlightenment?

2) If you could gain one of the aforementioned pursuits at the expense of the other, which would you choose?

3) If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be?

4) What made you decide to learn Russian? (Sorry if you've mentioned this somewhere in your blog already and I missed it ^^;;;)

5) If you could recommend one music group that everybody should really listen to, who would it be?
