Wow. So Arnold is actually serious about this whole running-for-Govenor bit. Out of curiosity, I tried to find out his stance on some of the issues at the moment. It turns out that he is pro-choice, in favour of gay rights, advocates gun control and considers himself to be an environmentalist.

...?

Wait a second... I thought he was a Republican?

Then again, Joe Lieberman is still claiming to be a Democrat, so who knows. If the political arena wasn't a three-ring circus before, it certainly is now.

*amused* Maybe he's trying to redeem the party, and make it safe for people like me to retain their self-respect while not actually having to go to the trouble of going to re-register as a Libertarian, or something.

Besides, you KNOW that Maria "Not Really A REAL Kennedy" Shriver is giving him an earful everytime he brings up his platform....

*grins* Well, it seems like CA Republicans are more sane than those out here. Personally, I think that the whole party system is a bit silly. (Which is why I refuse to register with any party.)

My mom's theory is that he's only a Republican so that people won't think that he's caving in to his wife. ^^
