Guess who splurged her spending money on the BSSM season one box set?

The sound, by the way, really is lousy. It sounds oddly muffled, and I think some of my fansubs are actually higher quality. For some unknown reason, ADV also decided to put the Next Episode Preview after the opening credits, so that the sequence goes something like this...

Opening Credits --> Preview for Episode #10 --> Episode #10 --> Ending Credits

I don't quite get the point. It's rather disorientating, actually... And no Omake either.

Still, I am quite delighted to have all the episodes on DVD finally. I never did end up getting fansubs for the entire first season, so I've been enjoying myself immensely by watching the season straight through. (Although the repetetive nature of the Jadeite episodes does get fairly monotonous.) Would you believe that this was the first time I've seen episode #31? (That's the kitty episode where Zoisite gets chased around the sewer by an army of rats.) Now that was a cute episode.

For those of you who are looking at me in askance... Yes, I like Sailor Moon, thank you very much. It's not my favourite series, and it certainly isn't the best anime out there, but it's still my guilty pleasure.

Of course, I think I'm the only one left who still likes BSSM and the Four Kings... I'm still on the lookout for any new 'fics and art, but the pickings have been pretty slim.

Anyhow, I'm working my way through a rather nasty cold, so I think I'm going to curl up with a hot mug of tea and a book for a while.
