Y'know, I really like how this piece is coming along so far. It's still unfinished, obviously. There's quite a bit of tweaking and various little details that need to be done. And I have no idea what to do for a background.
This isn't the first HP art I've done, but it's the first that's been more than a doodle, and the first that I've felt good about displaying to the public. (Besides, some of the characters are just so goddamn stubborn about not wanting to be drawn. Tonks, thankfully, was willing to play along.)
The base was a simple pencil sketch, colouring was done with Corel PhotoPaint. Comments, critisism and critiques are, as always, very welcome.
... okay, you have done with this sketch what everyone else on the face of the planet was unable to do with endless babble about how cool the book was: you have made me really want to read Order of the Phoenix.
I suspect that only then can I fully appreciate how cool this character (Tonks?) is.
I LOVE HER JEANS MORE THAN ANYTHING ELSE IN THE WORLD RIGHT NOW! And her smile is endearing.
Tonks (Who prefers to be known by her surname only... "So would you if your fool of a mother had called you 'Nymphadora.'") is absolutely adorable. She's already managed to wiggle her way to the top of my favourite characters list. (Although Lupin is still in the lead, but she's tied with Bill Weasly at the moment in the number two position.)
You really haven't read OotP yet? It's a good book, despite the sad ending. There's some fun new characters, though. Tonks, of course, and Luna Lovegood is rather intriguing as well.
