To celebrate my starting a new job on Monday, I went out today and splurged on a new scanner and the Azumanga Daioh anime box set. (Maybe I should have waited until after I got my first paycheck... Nah.) So here's a handful of original sketches and a couple pieces of HP fanart.

Now to find something else to do to distract myself. Otherwise I'll start freaking out about tomorrow. No matter how many times I tell myself - or have other people tell me - that it will be all right, I still worry. It just seems to be in my nature. Probably due to the OCD. There's a reason why it's classified as an anxiety disorder.
Thank you very much. I've always wanted to illustrate a childrens' book, so that's where I got practice doing the cute style drawings. Glad you like them ^_^

Oooh, that's a good idea! Have you already tried submitting your drawings to publisher then? Or are you still practising? How long does it take you to draw one of those?
No, I haven't submitted anything yet. I may do a couple of hand-made books for my nephew sometime in the future, but as of now, everything I do art-wise is just for fun.
The faerie, mermaid, and harpy drawing didn't take me too long to do. Under an hour for each. Same for the one of Lupin and Tonks. The one of Trelawney took longer, maybe two or three hours, but that was mostly because I couldn't decide what colors to use. However, they're just colored in marker, which is quick and easy. The pic of Dr. Girlfriend that I posted a while ago was colored pencil on top of the marker, and that took me a few days at least.
A lot depends on how artistic I'm feeling. If I'm really inspired, I can do a piece quite quickly. If I get bored with it, though, it may sit around for months before I finally finish it. I'm afraid I'm not very disciplined.
