piasharnMY NEW COMPUTER IS HERE!
It's so pretty and shiny and fast... I want to hug it. XD
It's been a while since I used a Mac, so I have to readjust a bit, but so far everything is going smoothly. Well, I did have some issues getting my wireless modem installed, but it's all good now.
Plus, I can now stay online for more than 15 minutes without getting booted off, like my old computer kept doing. Especially since I had to completely reboot the system before I could get back online. Which was one of the reasons I haven't been posting or replying to much lately. Well... that, and life has been a bit crazy.
In short: my boss is a jackass who still won't hire me in full-time, despite the fact that I have been working a full-time shift for over a year now. And even though I am working the least desirable shift (the weekend graveyard shift), I am one of the few people who actually can work said shift (because you need to be able to do any CT exam) and even though he has admitted that the tech-aide and I who work said shift are getting some of the best reviews from patients and other hospital staff.
Needless to say, I'm getting a bit fed up with the whole situation.
Especially since I got in a car accident a few weeks ago, which has forcefully reminded me that I still have no health insurance, and medical bills add up quickly.
Thankfully, no one was hurt, and my car was still drivable afterwards, but that was sheer dumb luck. Someone started to swerve into me, so I swerved to avoid him and ended up losing control of my car and went skidding across five lanes of traffic during rush hour on the freeway.
I'm still having nightmares about it.
Oh... and my parents just got divorced, and that's been a ton of fun. -_-
I've got a lot of catching up to do. While I have internet access at work, sites like LJ are blocked, so it's going to take me a while to read all of the entries I've missed.

Date: 2011-02-03 08:31 pm (UTC)Employment situation is still shitty for a lot of people, it's just weird how serious, hard-working people get more flack than others. I guess bad bosses feel that they can abuse them more because they'll have a sense of responsibility about doing their job anyway...

I kept trying to explain that when you're going 70 mph across the freeway, my only thought was, "Oh, crap, I'm dead..." and I wasn't exactly in the mood to write down license plate numbers.
I love my Honda even more after that incident, though. Japan makes some damn good cars.
