piasharnSchool is finally over for the day, ending with the double-long Biology class that includes a lab. So I then got to drive (40 minutes) back home and sit down to eat.
And as I'm progressing through a bowl of green peas, I unconsciously notice that some have smooth shells and some are wrinkled.
Now, since the gene for wrinkled shells is recessive, this means that the peas that display this trait must be homozygous recessive. Of course, I can't tell if the smooth shelled peas are homozygous dominant or heterozygous dominant, because one gene masks the other.
And then I realized that I was debating the genotypes of my dinner with myself...
...it's been a very long day.
